What Leads Do I Need For A Power Commander 3

  1. Evening all.

    Confused as to what leads i need to connect my laptop to my power commander 3 Usb.
    Any info appreciated as the FleaBay is very confusing giving conflicting info as per usual :mad::Artist:

  2. Providing your firmware is above 1.0.0.20 , all you need is a micro USB lead (the sort used with TomToms, MP3 players etc). If the PC111 is fitted to the bike then you need ignition on to connect to your computer. If you want to do things on the bench then you need a 9v power connector (PM me as I built some).

    If your firmware is lower than above then you need the special USB programmer http://www.orientexpress.com/images/PowerCommander/PC3FirmwareUpdate.doc

    How will i know what level im at ?
    Just try the Micro Usb first & see if it connects succesfully & go from there maybe ...
