My sketchy rig up I created has become too sketchy now so im looking for something more secure. What are people using, where from and how much? Thanking you..
I use one of these for turning the wheels when cleaning them or cleaning/lubing the chain: Hein Gericke Front and Rear Wheel Turning Device Sometimes with a piece of wood under the sidestand to hold the bike in a more upright (but not enough to risk it falling over) position.
I have a few stands, I understand my ABBA stand will fit my SC but the actual pivot point it goes into is blocked by the black frame that mount the footpegs, I eventually intend to remove this, using an SSie set up and should then be able to use my preferred stand. However, until now I've used a standard paddock stand, I find them much the same to be honest, but!.. The standard cups on a paddock stand will not fit around an SC swingarm as each leg is too wide and round in section, you can either open out these cups with a hammer and line them or use some form of insert ( I used small wooden batons) , this will allow the swingarm to rest securely but raise it enough to stop the cups scratching the paint off underside.
