What Price For My V2?

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by Fraz, Jul 4, 2023.

  1. I've been trying to sell my 2020 V2 Panigale, and I've just recieved an offer that previously I would have thought was too low but in the current climate I'm unsure. It's done 5800 miles, has a full titanium Akra exhaust, solo seat and Futurismoto tail tidy. The offer was £13450
Does this sound about right, or too low? 20230704_202900.jpg

  2. How much do you want to offload it / need the money?

Have you had any other offers and has it been up for sale long?

What will "We buy any bike offer"? This can be a good way to check if the market is aligned with your own ideas. Be sure to haggle with them to ensure they are offering you a good price & not just a great price for themselves! Then you will know what current market is, though eBay is a very good yardstick too.

  3. Seems about right, there are comparable V2's for sale on AT between 12k and 14k at DUK dealers and which will have warranty, finance available etc, so that cancels out the Akras of yours, so based on that, its a decent offer in the current climate, I'd be taking the money, theres an indy dealer one at 14,400 with the Akra, 14k will probably get it and then its all warranted etc ...

  4. Yeah it’s probably about what it’s worth honestly. I know many want to factor the cost of the full exhaust but I wish it worked that way, it probably adds £500-1000 unfortunately, equally those who do their homework know they can’t really do trackdays on it with that system (as gorgeous as it is) so I’d personally not buy it even though it’s absolutely needed.

as a previous v2 owner I know how badly it needs that exhaust so hopefully people will see that and give you want you want for it

  5. given bayliss' can be had around 16k (advertised) seems 13.5k fair

  6. the price seems fair however dealer ones offer warranty etc, id stick to that price, but (i would) be prepared to wait maybe a few months

  7. Thanks for the info, i've accepted the offer. It's a shame you get so little back on the full Akra system (best sounding bike I've ever owned with it and transforms the bike)
Out of interest I tried webuyanybike - £9900 cheeky beggars

  10. Cheeky indeed! It seems a total crapshoot dealing with them; I know of people who were given good prices after they turned down the first offer -which presumably is just a fishing trip to dee if the seller is desperate. Then they offer you 25% below market. Perhaps their warehouse is full?

Anyhow now you have a pocket full of money what are you going to spend it on? Another bike? A boat? Hookers & cocaine? Hopefully not a new kitchen...

  11. Might be a bathroom……:D

  12. I believe all their stuff just goes straight into superbike factory, at the time a quick AT search showed they had 25x R1’s on the books so clearly just low ball the crap out of people

  14. Agree
Agreed, definitely more fun than hookers and cocaine, but unfortunately just as expensive and just as flawed lol
I have had two of them, and although the first SDR was an absolute peach, the EVO model I got brand new in January is the reason I'm now riding a ducati........
But the sound of an SDR with an akra on full chat is epic !!!!!

  15. Best road bike I've had, absolutely bonkers when you put it in track mode and turn off anti Wheelie. Just got back from a trip in France with my girlfriend on her 690 Duke, no issues. It cruised at 80 for hours no problem, well mannered around town at slow speeds and when you hit the twists it's great fun. SDR's definitely have a lot of mechanical issues, so far I've been lucky. If KTM just stopped being so tight and made them reliable and sorted the known issues, eased off the orange then I think it couldn't be beaten for the road.

  16. The V2 has now sold, was like watching your girlfriend walking down the road holding another mans hand when he rode off. But maybe that's just me.
New buyer extremely happy, especially with the sound from the full Akra. Fair play to him, he rode from Dorset up to Bolton on it!!
