For those with Ducatis with electronic riding aids what are your settings? I've been riding my V4 on Street, low power, Smooth, DTC 8, DWC 8, all the other settings are default afaik. I've just now set the power to high and DTC and DWC to defaults for Street which i think is 5. With DTC at 8 the TC kicked in yesterday briefly when giving it some, that was on low power! Looking forward to riding it on high power. Yes i've been cautious since buying it 2 months ago but i don't wanna come off it. What are your settings?
Depends, MTS 1260 and I flip between touring or sport. Mostly touring which I have max power but most aids set to medium/performance. Sport, pretty much everything is at its lowest or off, including quick shifter (more fun blipping manually). If its properly shit weather and I'm not on a motorway, I'll go into urban mode which has most of the settings cranked up and low power option.
My M1200S is in sport mode unless it’s raining when I’ll sometimes drop down to touring mode for a while at least. I use urban mode if I’m in town and the roads are that greasy way where your bum starts biting the seat, or I have brand new tires and it’s wet. The TC and ABS are at their defaults.

For normal road riding, mid setting abs, max engine braking, dtc at 3 and wheelie control at 2. Suspension set to soft or mid. race - mid power, dtc 2 or 3,wheelie control at 2, abs still at mid (apparently there’s a setting that operates on the front only. The manual says this allows me to back it into a corner. I’m a fat middle aged man with normal talent riding on a uk road for pleasure, I’m not Mr. K. Shwantz!!). Still max engine braking as I like that and I’m used to it. Suspension to mid, maybe firm if I’ve been playing around. Wet - my wuss mode. still mid power, dtc, abs, wheelie control set to max. Max engine braking, soft suspension.
Hi I have a 1260s. I'm have trouble with the ride mode settings. Its set at touring mode, when i try to select sport it changes to engine (i tried holding the button down but it just flips to engine).
DWC=3 DTC=3 EBC=OFF ABS=OFF DES=Road (default), Track=H Mode=RACE road and track Never used road or wet modes. I leave the 1299 in the above all the time. I occassionally use EBC3 but the push on pulse is annoying on track so Im considering a slipper.
The secret Alan is to change mode in any setting other than setting menu. If the bike has setting menu displayed and you hold the button down it allows you to fine tune stuff which you don't want to. Choose something else like range hold the button down for several seconds and you'll be able to change mode. This can be done at speed, just need to close throttle and not brake
On the 1299 I’ve had ages and ridden 16 miles on…it’s full wet mode until I’ve ridden more my old Multi’s I used to run touring with high power, firmish preload, firmish comp/rev settings as I’m heavy but not too firm or the bike chops under bumpy fast loads. Sport mode when chasing people DTC etc all low but still on. For track I used sport with max preload and upped the rider/luggage setting. Also turned down to lowest all other settings. Around town it was urban, simply because I had set to softest preload so I could more easily paddle around if needed: 27” inside leg so only ever one foot down and normally hanging off the seat a little. never messed much with the beemer I had: they were not very customisable I’m comparison
