Bike needs some new boots, what's everyone using?? I'm particularly interested in the Pirelli's, anyone using a corsa front & rosso II rear combo?? Or either corsa's /rosso II? Cheers Pablo
Ahoy Pablo As it happens I've just got around to mounting a pair of SuperCorsa BSBs that I inherited from a friend (long, sad story). I'd been keeping them for the summer! Anyway, scrubbed them in one evening last week and have just got back from a run up to Newtown which included the amusing sport of catching and harrasing a Panigale. Only about a mile before Newtown so I was spared the embarasment of actually trying to overtake him. I've decided that the Supercorsas are the best tyre I've ever used for general purpose hooliganism and they say that the Rosso Corsa is even better (and might not kill you if it rains). So there you go .... Avanti Pirell. See you Grunt
I have Qualifier 2's on my SL, best tyres I have ever run, confidence inspiring stuff, I think they are triple compound
Have a Rosso II on the front which I'm LOVING, quick warmup with amazing grip! Will soon be fitting a rear...
I have Diablo Rosso II's at both ends.....and up to now they will be going on again next time. As already said they warm up quickly and are sticky enough to out perform me. I got this pair with £25 cash back from Pirelli to....bonus!
Been running the Rosso II's on the GSXR and really impressed, had thought about a mix........diablo Corsa on the front and Rosso II on the back??? Just wondering if the Corsa was more of a track tyre. Or should I just go Rosso II's ........oh decisions..
I've just fitted Dunlop Qualifiers and I have to say, a couple of hundred miles in, they're really good not expensive either at £165 a pair plus fitting ...
l like conti motion pro s Steve did not stop me falling off on the grass at the southern sat night tho
Hope you didn't damage our(mine and Daves) old bike. I emailed Dave(Aus) a pic of it with single seat and hi-levels. Cheers, Keith.
Steve, I don't think that statement does justice to the steepness of the bank or the slipperiness of the grass on it. I have to say that an 888 wouldn't be my weapon of choice for that climb, even if it was fitted with motocross knobblies but you bloody well nearly made it to the top You were definitely living dangerously last weekend, what with the broken chain etc. My personal favourite was the stunning disregard shown by the other, brew starved campers, to the fact you were asleep under the gas urn when they lit it. Hope the indicator and fairing panel aren't too difficult to source/repair mate. WW
l have got the entry forms for Red Marley next year the drop on sunday hurt sidestand started flipping up after sat nights shennigans l did nearly save it with my ankle tho Steve
It must be some sort of genetic instinct to throw yourself under a heavy falling motorcycle to stop any damage, almost like an organic airbag??
