I received a newsletter from my building society today.In it was an article on how to 'Upcycle my Home'.I though, new speak straight away,Guess what it means?
I hope there is a silent comma after the first word........ the alternative is too terrible to contemplate.
i'm thinking that perhaps I should try and embrace this new modern language.I'm totes concerned about being left behind.I hear today that I will soon be able to control my home appliances,fridge,boiler,television,etc,using my Smart Phone.Can't wait to see what sort of a disaster I can create with that.
You need the look first-get a pair of MC Hammer trousers, put em on, get mrs Mervyn to take a pic, upload it here and we will study it carefully , provide constructive feedback and tell you if you're on the right groove-trust me...... Hold fire on the baseball cap, until we've seen the trousers.....
I have to admit that after looking up the said trousers I thought I could probably look uber cool in them.However mrs Mervyn said a few disparaging words about my new found sartorial idea.Perhaps I can sneak a pair in with the next lot of bike parts,she never checks those.
