  1. Plunger part that screws into a barrel that is within the levers?

  2. Don’t know the correct name, but do know you can’t buy them unless you buy the complete brake setup, but there is a seller on eBay who has machined his own and selling eBay item ID 266582225350

  5. found it, strange that you can't buy the part direct

  6. Make sure you check the lever free play after fitting. Check out Bradthebikeboy YouTube video if in any doubt how.

  9. Watched the video, interesting
Although the bike he’s working on has a different adjustment type I can follow the theory, what I cannot find on my push rod is a way to adjust?
Nut will not budge and where I thought they may be a small Allen key locking bolt there’s none?
To my eyes it looks adjustable but is not?
My bike for reference is a 2024 V4s SF

  10. The grey dot in the centre of your last picture is the grub screw which is stopping your adjustment. Most take a very small (very) allen key.

  11. That grey part is totally smooth, nothing on it, try zooming the picture and you will see

  12. Normally (in my experience) that’s a grub screw. It might be anti tamper?

  13. I was also expecting a Allen type grub screw, but there is nothing, also the locking nut will absolutely not shift at all

  14. Pass then. Sorry.

  15. Looks like a shear bolt. There appears to be plenty of meat to get a drift onto and get it out. Otherwise, drill it and use an ‘easy out’. That’s if you really must adjust it.

  16. Possibly someone overtightened it whilst messing about & the head sheared off?

  17. Both are the same mate

  18. TBH i'm not sure if i have to adjust or not, watched @Expat Jack 's youtube clip, now i'm paranoid my front is gonna lock up and chuck me off if i don't check this out :worried:

  19. I doubt that it will need adjusting. Put it on and check. Job done. I’ve changed countless levers in my time and only ever had one that needed adjustment.

  20. cheers mate
Easy to get paranoid with this stuff,
