I have taken the exhaust system off to get it Cermakrome coated at Camcoat and have re-wired the front loom so everything can be disconnected by just two connectors. Also some new Brembo discs going on.Just be interested to see what everyone else is upto, so I can steal any good ideas!
Getting my Termi Cermakromed too. A bit of this & that to do as well Titanium silencer, radiator cleaning/painting, RS water union, full floating rear rotor, new front brake pads, Speedymoto top triple, RAM mount center nut, new gaskets and magnesium cover for the horiz. head, STM Evoluzione clutch, Öhlins DU510 rear shock etc.
I plan to do something about the scabby front cylinder head paint and maybe get one of those alcantara seat covers from Germany and get it fitted by a local upholsterer. Also new oil and filter.
Next time I buy a bike its going to be from one of you lot off this forum. Attention to detail and TLC from you guys and others (won't mention names as I will forget some) is astounding.
Mine is off to Lougimoto in January, new black box swingarm being fitted and I'll get him to put on the new Oberon clutch master slave cylinder while he's on. Just a quick shifter next ?
Just the usual yearly service stuff for me, with the addition of a clutch/brake fluid change and a check and clean up of all the connectors behind the battery box. My seat has a neoprene/foam like cover. It`s a little bit tatty in places so I tried an alcantara seat cover. It looked nice but I found it went very slippery after a couple of months so took it off. I might try some of this instead: ADHESIVE BACKED BLACK NEOPRENE SPONGE/FOAM RUBBER SHEET 2mm - 12mm THICK | eBay
I have the foam Ducati Performance seat on the Streetfighter. It's great with jeans, but I slide all over when wearing my leather chaps ! The Superpole seat on the 1098 is fantastic whatever I wear. You plant you backside on a given spot and just stick there.

I believe I owe you one for the 'clutch advice'. So here's my two penny worth. I've had two seats covered recently and would advise against putting a cover over the existing cover. Two layers makes it too hard. Most likely the existing cover is welded to the foam. That in itself makes it firm. You need an upholsterer to peel it off, put on a thin extra layer of memory foam then put your new cover on. Alcantara, I'm not convinced is a good idea. What exact bike? I may have a suggestion.
Blast..and there was me thinking I was working on my 749...they all look so similar once the fairings are removed!
New tyres (probably stay with Michelin) and cam belts as I'm still a virgin at these. Are they really as easy as everyone says they are to change? Been watching all the YouTube videos to try and build up some confidence to give it a go and the only thing that's holding me back is the varoius tensioning methods. Would be interested to know what is recommended by other forum members.
That's always a debate how to tension belts...Most garages as the well known ones will use the Gates Sonic Tension Meter. However each time you twang the belt, are you 'twanging it' exactly the same pressure each time as this will effect the Hz reading. My mechanic is very old-skool and been working on Ducatis for years and swears by the old way. Also he reminds me to have the belts checked and re-tensioned after a few hundred miles as they do slacken...but how many of us do after new belts are put on? If in doubt, just take it to a garage, only a two yearly thing, although my old 748 had them on for 7 years!
