Do the wheel bearings need replacing after they've been removed? If so can anyone recommend a good online source?
Depends on why and how you removed them. If like me you used a BFH I'd say replace them absolutely but if you used a press or press simulation set up maybe not. I buy my replacement bearings from a local independant but I have also used eBayjust the once and the bearings were fine. Andy
I'm not sure how they were taken out. The local Triumph dealer did it. They told me to replace them and all the disc bolts. They also told me to leave the bearings and Cush drives in for powder coating so I'm not sure their advise is the best. Brislington is good for me, thank you.
Dealer removed hey, did they give you the spacer back ? Not sure how hot the bearings get in use so have no idea if the powder coat oven temperature is higher and likely to turn the grease runny. Get my wheels done by TPCS and because he caustic dips, powder cleans and surface crack detects before coating, wheels have to be bare. Andy
They still have all the parts with them as they are supposed to be refitting when the wheels are ready
