Can anyone suggest somewhere to buy good quality replacement wheel and sprocket nuts as mine have corroded. I wasn't going to bother but it really spoils the bike. Don't want ducati ones but something that is more weather resistant General Cleaning | Ducati Forum
I have just bought a complete motorcycle shop with all the spares that will ever be needed. Just send me a picture and dimensions of the nuts.
A similar sort of thing happened to my Multi, I ended up taking the wheel and sprocket nuts off, taking them to the local plater and having them zinc plated, and they came out much better than new!
I had it done with a big bag full of other bolts (hub pinch bolts, swingarm bolts, front caliper bolts, wheel spacers and lots more) and it was around £30.
Sorry the pics are a bit crap, but I hope you get the idea. Forgot to mention I also had the sprocket plated, 'cos that was going the same way as the nuts!
Thanks mate looks good. Just trying to find some 2nd hand nuts and sprockets nuts to find somewhere to get them plated. Don't really want to remove nuts myself as not mechanically minded so best option is to get 2nd and then get them plated and get garage to put them on. Does the coating not get marked when fitting them
That to. Ha. Only ones I've found are black cnc ones on ebay from carbon world and they are aluminium
Can I ask which r and g bobbins they are ? I have them but they are large solid pucks and I can't use my rear stand with them ! Those would be great and save me buying a single sided stand Thanks
Tempted to get these as it would cover the corroded wheel nuts and then can just sell them if I change from a multi and they are a bit cheaper than titanium ones and just get sprocket nuts Frame Insert Kit Ducati Diavel / Ducati Multistrada 1200 SBP0001BK
