Wheel removal.

  1. Its soon going to be new tyres time, I use a local tyre dealer who fits to loose rims.
    I have all the usual day to day tools, but do you have any recommendations for what I need to remove both front and rear wheels?

    The only thing I know of is the large socket for the rear which I don't have. Do I need anything special for the front?

    Thanks for any help.

  2. Nothing special for the front. I used a breaker bar and socket for the rear. Don't use any of those fancy Oberon style sockets, just use a conventional one.
    These are handy and cost effective;

    Just don't use them to replace the nut!!

  3. Thanks, By the by, I have a 3/4" drive 'T' bar. I will get a socket for that, do you know what size that rear nut is.

    I'll also get a smaller 3/8" drive torque wrench for various bike use..any ideas on a good make or what torque setting I will need it to go up to?

    Cheers.
