No, not the stick on kind.... I recently bought myself a set of 848 wheels, as I'm such a sad w@anker I decided I weigh and compare them to my outgoing old school Brembos. Weighed on digital bathroom scales, not subject to regular calibration! All wheels had tyres and discs (front) fitted. Ready...? Brembo Front 12.7kg Brembo Rear 12.1kg Total = 24.8kg Enkei Front 11kg Enkei Rear 10.8kg Total = 21.8kg Saving 3kg Or in old money ~6.6lbs Is that more or less than a massive pre - ride dump ?
were they the same tyres and discs though , that will make a difference , not that much albeit but some.
Same tyres, different discs. Old wheels had the old gold jobbies, new one had the, well new ones.
I would suggest a trip to the doctors and If you can dump 3kg of shit i would not want to go into a toilet after you had used it.
A guy in a local shop seen my new rubber ( T30's ) and commented that the wheels on the bike didnt need weights for the wheel to be balanced as Bridgestone said the tyres he supplies come balanced already. I dont get my rytres off hime but another shop who are a pretty damn good outfit so there's one for ya... Go figure...
