Would anybody know if Panigale wheels will fit a V4 PP, the front part number is the same, but the rear is different. All I can see that is different is the shape if the recess on the large part of the spoke, surely the offset and everything is the same. It was marketed as having Panigale parts, so will be odd if different . I want another set so I can run different tyres, touring and track. I know many tyres will do both jobs, but will ultimately compromise both jobs. Many thanks
From my experience finding wheels for my Multi 1200 based track bike, the Panigale 1199, 1299 and V4 rear wheel fits, however the front wheel doesn't without adaptation. The Panigale front yokes are set about 10mm wider. The Hyper 950SP front wheel fits fine. 1098 and 1198 are a straight fit. I was using a set of 1098R wheels. Andy
Thanks for that, I noticed when I had the 1299s and 1260s MTS front wheel hub widths were different. I think now with the Ohlins on the V4 they are the same.
I have just double checked with my dealer's parts department and the 3 (9) spoke forged Marchesinis on the V4 Pikes Peak are listed as also fitting the 1260 PP and V4 RS. The 3 (9) spoke forged Marchesinis on the Panigale V4S are listed as also fitting the Panigale R and V4R. I no longer have my spare Panigale V4S wheels so cannot physically check but I am sure the V4 PP front wheel is the same size as the 2012 Multistrada 1200S currently in my dining room and that takes the 950SP. Thanks for finding that out, bit frustrating, I'll have to come up with a plan B I think, or grow up a bit and accept the compromises of the tyres fitted ( and my limited ability!)
