  1. aparently oil is not going to run out until I'm 108, that's a relief. Won't need an electric bike just yet.

  2. If the Scottish stop frying their Mars Bars in it then it could last longer :)

  3. I actually look forward to some real performance electric bikes/cars. I'd miss the sound of petrol engines but i made an electric bicycle when i was 15 with a car battery and starter motor blob welded to the crank and it was AWESOME. If I do say so myself.

  4. Awesome

  5. Two shocking statistics for me: since I was born in 1967 global population has doubled and the Earth's tree cover fallen by 90%. I find that profoundly depressing.

  7. when i was a lad there was a program called tommorows world and they stated then that that would happen,no oil,and new electric stuff whizzing about everywhere and robots n fings aaand....flying cars.

wheres my flying car? ,been waiting all these years and still no flying car.:Rage:,what a let down, should be able to sue the bbc for false promises.

  8. I can't understand why buses aren't yet electric. Try having a conversation next to a London bus - they are bloody loud. You'd have thought that if there was one vehicle that wasn't going to be going that far from a charging base, a London bus would be it. I like buses, but the electric bus is way overdue.

  9. Jesus - that's all we need. When you see the standard of driving in two dimensions, god only knows what it would be like in three. A&E would have to be massively scaled up.

  11. In three dimensions there is a lot more room, a lot less furniture, and a lot better visibility. No corners and no potholes. What could possibly go wrong?

  12. I don't drive in two dimensions.........I go sideways; backwards and forwards, plus upwards and downwards over the UK roads.

  13. I have experienced low level 3D travel (well, bridge jumping ;)) and landed in a metro once, and come to think of it, I sold my MX bike cos I got hurt every time I went out on it. I think the only problem with flying vehicles is gravity. Fix that and we got a winner.:upyeah:

  14. The main problem with flying vehicles is that they can't land on streets with overhead cables; lamp columns; traffic lights; telegraph poles etc etc.........

.........so you land outside a city, fold the wings............and then commute to work in a traffic jam as normal.

  15. A lot more blind spots!!! Would you have to wear a helmet and parachute in case of accidents!

  16. We need levitation, going to my shed to come up with something now...

  17. Nope, given up already...:( I confused myself... again

  18. ah but there shouldnt be any jams,as the majority, being darwin award winners, would stay in a large pile of assorted aircraft parts on the city outskirts.
after couple of months the population crisis would also be solved aaand..
then we'd wheel out the mk2 flying car, probably a honda unfortunately but what the hell, this would of course feature "vtol".

mind elf and safety will no doubt have everyone on the ground, at all times ,wearing ppe, specifically hardhats i imagine.

    :giggle:

  19. Honda don't make aircraft, Kawasaki do ;)
