Where Can I Get Metzeler Sportec M7rr's By Post

  1. Hi Guys,

I'll shortly be needing some new tyres for the 899 and quite fancy trying the metzeler's

The rear is the 180 / 60 profile so where can I get a set mail order at a reasonable price?

What has everyone else paid for a set??

    Cheers,

    Poucher

  2. Thanks for the link but no M7rr sportec listed??

  3. Which like you I ask the ? do they make that size :)

  4. Might be me? must have got my wires crossed as I thought both Dunlop Sportsmart 2 and Metzeler M7rr's had a 180/60 rear fitting???????

That limits the choice somewhat :Meh:

  5. I did state they dont do a m7rr in that size with a link to the Metzeler site stating all the sizes and the 180/60 not listed.:upyeah:

  6. I have bought off Tyre Leader few times, and they are good, PR4's Especially good prices, delivered in a few days though annoying sometimes the front and back turn up on different days

  7. I've same problem on my monster 821... rear is 180/60zr17, only found pirelli and dunlop with sport road tyres... metzeler and continental only with race road compound (racetec's and contiattak). Bridgestone, michelin, avon, etc don't do any tyre on that size... checked already with manufacturers they don't even have plans to do that size... :(

  8. Am I missing something? What's wrong with Pirelli or Dunlop, Metzeler or Conti? They all make shit hot tyres.

  9. Sort of... don't like pirellis... dry very good, wet not good. And the difference between dry and wet is huge! Dunlop for example takes a lot to warm. So for me, I wanted a tyre more balanced between wet and dry like for example Michelin PP3 or Metzeler M7RR.

  10. Try the Contis then, if they're good enough for a 200bhp BMW...

  11. I don't see that way... those are agreements between manufacturers, for example Ktm superduke 1290 have the dunlop sportsmart II, a friend has one and first thing to change will be the tyres because warmup reason! I had sportsmart on my previous bike and felt a few times that "issue".

  12. Yes.

  13. Agreed. Don't know if they're still doing it but 2 years ago Triumph were fitting K3 racetecs to Speed Triples as the OE tyre. Can't think of a worse choice for a naked all-rounder. Why can't manufacturers fit decent sports touring tyres and stop pretending?
