Hey folks. I'm tempted to get my 1st Ducati. I have visited a few dealers. I live in central west London. The thing is that I don't know which one would give me the best service over convenience. Metropolis in vauxhall are my closest dealer by far but have heard various horror stories about their servicing. Although the sales guys seem pretty switched on. If distance was not an issue my 1st choice would be to use Moto Rapido they are down towards Southampton. Hyside are out of the question as they are on the other side of London and are no advantage over either of the above. Any ideas or knowledge would be appreciated as I would like this ownership to be a pleasant entrance to Ducati and their from what I hear expensive life of servicing.
I live near Bournemouth and have just bought my bike from Ducati Leeds as that is where I got the best deal but will use Moto Rapido for my servicing for sure!
Metropolis at Vauxhall, London I bought my Multistrada 1200S at Metropolis M/c in March 2011. They are situated just south of Vauxhall Bridge (right opposite the Secret Service HQ - spooks buy dukes there). The Ducati specialist is Damiano Chini, who is one of the good guys. My dealings with them have included: Test ride on a Multistrada and (recently) a Panigale Fitting the new bike with various options (topbox, higher screen etc) Carrying out first service Doing the rear brake free upgrade Supplying various spare parts (following minor spill) Programming extra key as spare Arranging extended warranty All these have been done in a helpful, efficient, sensible and friendly way. Others may have different views perhaps, but I can only speak as I find. Hope this is helpful.
Call up Metropolis in Barnet, ask to speak to Mike and tell him I sent you. They are just becoming the official Ducati and Yamaha branch for Metropolis. Mike is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and always given me the best customer service I've had from any dealer
West London Ducati at Apex Corner near Sunbury are OK. They have recently moved their Ducati showroom from their Bedfont (Heathrow) branch and they are still awaiting the new Ducati signs to go up at the Yamaha site. Find Us
