1299 Where To Get The Panigale Racing Electrical Connector Kit ?

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by seismic, Dec 29, 2017.

  1. Hi guys,

I need a piece of advise. I am looking to purchase the "Panigale Racing Electrical Connector Kit rear and front" (two different sets) which eliminate lights, sidestand etc. for when mounting track fairings.

I am looking for somewhere I can buy them online (preferably in the UK) as I am located in Dubai and here the local Ducati dealer claims he cannot get a hold on them. Do any of you have an advise on a reliable shop in the UK where I may be able to purchase the sets online?

    Thank you for your help.

    Brgds

  2. As far as I know you don't need anything to remove the lights, certainly not on an 899. To eliminate the side stand switch you can either tape a small magnet to the receiver on the bike side or I purchased a KTM part that is specifically for eliminating the side stand switch. Plugs straight into the loom in place of the side stand switch. Job done. I'll see if I can find the part number for the KTM part but they are not expensive. I will be buying a couple more for the new race bikes this year so shout up if you want one and I'll order an extra one.

  3. You need part numbers 96580011A (side stand delete, fan delete, and 1299S headlight) and 96580021A (rear light).

  4. Hey guys,

Thank you for the replies. Much appreciated !

  5. Did you not get an engine warning error @scrawnsenior? I always forget the exact details but you need a handful of connector blanks to stop the errors on the 1x99.

  6. No, you get an ABS light flashing if you fit straight brake lines, bit of tape solves that. No other warning lights on the 899 apart from an ECU light if you let it get hot. It throws a fault when it looks for the fan which clears once it cools down, if the fan stays in place then that will never happen. Maybe the bigger bike has a few more systems associated with the lights but can't see why it would.

  7. Can the ABS pump be completely removed if you've fitted direct front lines?

  8. No, the pump needs to stay in situ as it's part of the loom/ecu system. It needs to be seen by the electronics for all the other stuff to function. You just get the blanking plugs to seal it up then another thing I did was to rotate it so it wasn't sticking out as much. Less chance of damage when you go down.

  9. Cheers, though as much as it's still in situ.

  10. Just in case people aren't aware, there is now an ABS delete kit available from BSD, I think it was. Had it fitted to my 1199 S by JHP to remove that nasty ABS pump. I was really surprised just how heavy that pump is. Ugh.
