Hi all, on my SS I've got an alloy clutch basket and hub (VeeTwo) I bought a set of surflex clutch plates which I believe are probably on their last legs - I'm sure they've done a couple of thousand miles. The clutch is quite snatchy on the change and also squeals when I pull away. I've done 500 miles since ressurection so if there was any crap in there I'm pretty certain that it would have blown it out. I'm going to take them off this weekend, but should they be knackered what should I go for? back in the day I had three choices, Ducati OEM(steel), Sureflex (Alloy) or Barnett (steel). I know times have moved on and so I'm a bit out of the loop so recommendations gratefully appreciated... and I probably won't go for the suzuki clutch plates option after reading the hit and miss nature of them in our thread on here.
Try OEM from ducati, the new style plates with the large tags are quite freindly to the basket and hub, around £200. And of course , they work very well.
