Looking for opinions on which dzus fasteners to get for my 1098 since the standard rubber inserts is a pain. Preferably with no need of modification to frame or faring. Found 4 mm full kit from speedyfasteners or from desmoworld. The desmoworld looks pretty nice but is expensive for faring bolts. Anyone got experience with either? https://www.ebay.com/itm/193340836339 https://www.desmoworld.com/en/desmo...et-848/1098/1198-2-3146?number=SV.00.21098-RB
I converted my 1198SP to 1/4 turn D8 (Pin type) Dzus fasteners with a kit from Kurvey Girl in the US and thought it was great value and they are genuine Dzus, but you do have to drill the frame. https://www.kurveygirl.com/products/ducati-1098-848-custom-fit-dzus-kit-black-gen-2
I much prefer the original scalloped DZUS fasteners, as they sit much closer to the bodywork than the current crop of cheesehead ones.
Is that the same which were on the 9xx series? Do you have a link to a kit or do I have to put that together myself?
Cheapest place is probably Alibaba, but with the way Sterling is heading, maybe not so much now. This from an older thread: Gr5 14mm 17mm Titanium Dzus Fasteners For Motorcycle - Buy Tc4 Titanium Dzus Fasteners 14mm And 17mm For Sale,Ti6al4v Dzus Fasteners With Quick Release For Motorcycle,Baoji Titanium Dzus Fasteners Ti6al4v With Competitive Price Product on Alibaba.com
Thanks. I think I'm leaning towards desmoworld getting a complete kit and paying extra for tiny lettering. I get back with a review if i decide to get them
Your bike looks really good I did place an order on the desmoworld dzus fasteners. Will arrive this week. Where did you get your white stickers for front and back? I really do like them
