Which Fuel Flask And Pourer For Trackdays?

Discussion in 'Clothing, Gadgets & Equipment' started by Paul55, May 4, 2024.

  1. Just getting packed up for a bit of Almeria and Portimao and looking rather unhappy about my five litre fuel flask and the very leaky spout pouring arrangement.
I don’t think I have ever managed to refuel without spilling due to the very cheap, threaded spout.
Never really a good idea to pour any fuel over a hot bike that has just come in from some laps.

One of you has found a better product, please steer me to the answer.

    Many thanks, Paul.

  2. I like VP fuel jugs but they say they are not for transporting petrol, bit of an oxymoron that, but I still like em

  3. If you only need / are allowed 5l these are good

  4. Nowt wrong with a leaky spout. As long as the lid is on. Feed the spout into your tank and fully invert your 5 litre jug. The petrol going down the spout and into your tank will create a slight vacuum, thus air will vent inwards (via leaking spout) and you’ll never spill a drop again. I promise :D

Who are you going to Almeria with?? Not that I could go, bike’s not ready…

  5. These are no good for track days. Far too much faff. Handy for strimmers and lawn mowers though

  6. Originally on the NL Sevilla/Portimao, but Sevilla leg got cancelled so rather than mess around with flights and time off we replaced Sevilla with Focussed Almeria.
Also popping down to Paul Ricard as a rider for this https://www.sundayrideclassic.com/ on the 748 & 749 RSs.
