848 Which Levers

Discussion in '848 / 1098 / 1198' started by Tel, May 4, 2014.

  1. I'm sure this has been asked many times but I'm after recommendations for some aftermarket levers.

I currently have some CRG roll-a-click short levers which look and feel really good however I now regret going for short levers (mainly because of the clutch) so on the look out for some long levers.

Any recommendations would be greatly received.

  2. I just fitted some evotech standard length ones to my 1098 and they are a million times better than the short ones that came with the bike , they are also really good quality

  3. i've got titax shorties on mine, (came with the bike) and i have no complaints about them. but i can understand the bit about making the clutch movement easier. i'll have to see how i get on with mine over longer distances.

  4. IMHO the nicest ones are the ones made by Rizoma. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

  6. just had a quick look at the evotechs and rizoma website. They both look really smart although possibly leaning towards evotech at the moment but did spot some nice rear sets on the rizoma site...

  7. ASVs for me. I've got Pazzos on another bike but the ASVs are miles better IMHO

  8. Mine too... Folding / length can be adjusted too.... Fitted in minutes without a hitch & look as good as the more expensive 'named' levers.... I've been tripped up in the past with cheap chinese crap but these are one of the best upgrades I've ever made to the bike.

  9. I've got the evotech ones on my bike, fully adjustable with the lever and folding and really great quality so recommended.

  10. I reckon leavers are much of a muchness anyway. Choose on the basis of the length, adjustability, finish and looks. You probably can't go too far wrong apart from the fading Chinese ones but even they seem to be mechanically sound.

  11. OEM for me.

  12. ASV for me: a good balance of price, looks, well made, perform great and the length works for me - I can two finger brake and clutch or use four comfortably.

  13. I have a set of Pazzo's on mine. I like those, although they're much alike the standard Evotech ones. If I were to buy new ones, I'd go for either ASV's (like the look of those) or the folding Evotech levers.

  14. Piccies of the ASV's

  15. Harris Performance - Top quality & very reasonably priced too.

I also like ASV but for me the Harris levers seem a little more purposeful probably more track orientated. I personally prefer less fuss. We all have different tastes, no right or wrong :)

I had Harris fitted to my last bike and can't sing their praise enough, they looked really nice and felt (which is more important) amazing!

I always look at the bikes in Motogp and the likes of and they almost always seem to have levers that are more reminiscent of these Harris levers:

  16. I will eventually get around to replacing the ASV short levers fitted to my bike with these as I love the feel and minimalistic yet aftermarket look.
