Hi Guys, New to the forum, I will be picking up an MTS1200 later in the week. When I was looking round for a bike I noticed the oil cooler/radiator are right in the firing zone for stones etc, in fact one of the bike I looked at had a fair dent in the oil cooler. So which guards are people using? I had Evotech fitted to the Dorsoduro, they seemed well made and looked well. I noticed someone from Greece selling the guards fairly inexpensively but have no idea of the quality of the kit. Any thoughts?
Evotech. See post #5 here: http://ducatiforum.co.uk/f6/evotech-r-g-rad-guard-do-you-remove-any-fairing-parts-fit-8451/
I have the Evotech`s on my bike. Good fitment and very neutral looking, witch I like. Good price for a quality product as well. Seems like a lot of people like them and are using them
The evo tech stuff is very hard to better IMO. Well made, fits very well and whilst maybe not the cheapest, it's defo very good value for money. Made in UK to
Bit of ally mesh from b&q Expanded Metal Sheet Aluminium Aluminium Coloured (L)500mm x (W)500mm, 3232637502825
These are OK , Its what i use Ducati Multistrada 1200 Radiator & Oil Cooler Guards Or make yer own as above!
Anyone tried the Altrider guards? Radiator Guard for Ducati Multistrada 1200 AltRider Oil Cooler Guard for Ducati Multistrada 1200 AltRider In my opinion they look better than the mesh guards.
The blurb indicates that the Altrider is adhered to the radiator using 3M tape. Not sure that's as secure as a nut and bolt. A
