  1. Hi I am Ron from the Dutchiesland ;)

I chose this name because of in comparison with my former bike, this beauty is white and powerfull, (there is absolutely not a racial intention I assure you)

My motorbike history goes back about 20 years and started because of my wife from Italy, she encouraged me then (and maybe regrets it know...)

I started on a Honda CBX550F2 but found out soon enough that this was not for me and changed to BMW.

In this period until 2010 I've had a BMW R80RT/K75RT/R1100RS/R1100GS and a R1200GS. The last was much more fun, then the others, I changed the color, fairing, Wilbers suspension, lights and some small things. It was one of the first out of the factory and I found that out...

After fixing a major leakage problem (oil on the clutch) with the BMW was ok again until the drive shaft started having problems. And after some more small problems I decided to change the bike. This also because a good friend of mine rode different Duc's and just bought the new Multistrada. In all the time that he rode his Duc's he never had any problem, so after a very tempting offer from the Ducati shop I bought the Multistrada.

Trying this bike was very surprising to me; even with the better suspension on the BMW, it wasn't more than a heavy porcheddu (pig) in comparison to the Multistrada, I was stunned by the power (!) but also the comfort, so much better than Europe best selling bike...

In the two years that I have this motorbike, I have had so much fun.... and some problems:
    1st year:
    - corrosion on the front axle (renewed under warranty)
    - ignition problems (right ignition handle and ring antenna renewed under warranty)
    - starting problems (battery renewed under warranty)
    - defect on the gas tank floater (renewed under warranty)
    - some bolts came out (changed some for helicoils)

    2nd year:
    - cooling problems (renewed thermostat under warranty)
    - electrical problems with the dashboard (renewed under warranty)

well... that's about what's new on the bike... It won't be a surprise that I took a extended warranty. (had to pay for this....!)
I hope in I've had my share of problems right now, I you see the list above, most are electrical problems, probably due to bad parts.

Indeed seeing the list doesn't make you happy, but I still fall in love everytime I see this white-strong-motorbike... I really get horny when I get to ride her... sorry, she makes me smile

    have a good one! :upyeah:

    Ron
