1200 Who Gives The Best Ducati Service In The South?

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by kevpix, Apr 27, 2014.

  1. I'm really peeved to hear that CMW's in Chichester is losing its Ducati dealership. I bought my new Multi from them a year ago and and they serviced my Blackbird before that. Their mechanic is experienced and professional, the staff are friendly and chatty and the prices are reasonable.

Apparently Ducati are insisting that Ducati dealers showrooms and service areas are more like car showrooms. This is just too costly for some dealers.

Anyway, back to the title subject. I live in Chichester and I need to know the best Ducati service centre in the south. I have Moto Rapido, Snells and P & H Crawley similar distances away? Which is the best considering customer care, servicing and costs?

    Thanks for your help.

  3. Travel a little further west and you'll find Louigi Moto. He's an independant near Bristol and you won't find better.

  4. I take mine to Snells, I buy bits from Motorapido, have bought bikes from both

  5. I think the bike will have to be services at an authorised Ducati dealership while under warranty .

  6. No that's not correct MC, as long as the garage is vat registered your ok, but it does make it harder to sell the bike if it has non Ducati dealer stamps.

  7. Louigi Moto South of Bristol (it's also where CJS racing is based).
Never used Snells, but recently they tried to be very helpful sorting out an "out of warranty" issue for me.
Mike knows his Ducati stuff and with the single exception of Louigi Moto is probably the best I've met.

  13. Thanks for all your comments, much appreciated.

It's strange nobody has mentioned P&H in Crawley. Are they any good?

  15. Snells for me, always helpful, a well stocked showroom, parts accessories, clothing etc, the roads around the dealership are fun, and there's a cafe 1 min walk away

  16. Snells for me also, although I should point out that I have no experience of MR but struggle to think of how Snells could be improved upon.

  17. snells moto rapido and luigi are all mentioned several times for a reason, any of those will give you some fo the very best attention and service you and more importantly your bike could wish for. Simples, follow the flow.

  18. Corrected for you. It's a 230 mile round trip from Chichester. Snells is 60. o_O

Aylesbury is even further. Is Ducatisti geography really that bad?

  19. I use P&H and I've always been happy with them. Marcus, the Sales guy is really nice, the service manager is good but a couple of the guys that work on the desk sometimes appear a bit less interested. Never had a problem with any of their work and they have been great on all Warranty issues. I've had both switches, clocks, rear brake, coolant, and heated grips replaced with no issues or arguments.

  20. Snells - no brainer if you want good work and customer support.

Nothing is too much trouble with these guys and they take the time to listen to what you want done rather than telling you how lucky you are that they will take your money (like some other places I've dealt with in the past).

Plus from Chichester you can even take a decent ride up via Goodwood and the 272 to get to them.
