ok i have some standard 50mm termi's that i was going to debaffle but i'll probably shag it up anyone wanna play with this ??? or does anyone have a spare set of open 50's for emma's 748???? its currently got a full 50mm system on it but with standard polished ally cans ....thought it a bit strange to bung on a 50 system then choke it with standards see below
i got a standard set fo 996 cans not shure of the size , one has been de baffeld the other is standard , its not hard to do once you have drilled out the rivits . i also de anodised the cans and pollished them was doing it for my old 748 but then sold it so have no use for them may finish them and sell on cost f-all but sound great
Sorry to the thread jack (sorry) but I was thinking of doing the same for my 750ss carbie. Will the carbs need rejetting?
I have got Laser high level zorsts and fixed link pipes from a 750 SS IE on mine.....if you poke a stick down them, they are straight through perforated pipe which is glassfibre wrapped....I consequently expected mine to have been re-jetted, but they appear to be standard. Correction...the Main Jets are 148 instead of 140 Ghost has a pair of cans for sale which I think are similar, in the Classifieds......well, I say similar, they are nothing like them really, but possibly worth considering. ok quick update ....we've managed to get hold of a pair of 50mm remus carbon cans for £145 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! happy days.....i know this will need to be chipped but im unsure what number the chip is anyone know??? its a full 50mm system .........ive seen quite a few on fleabay but not sure , having got one for my 996 (the wrong one )and it ran like shite .............
I have a JHP chip that was on my 748 a Promotive 50mm 1/2 system if yr interested? "Ducati 748 O/P" £25. Try it , if it doesn't work, sell it on ebay.
