  9. Are you seriously saying someone would insure it as a 848 and not declare the engine as 1198? Why didn't whoever built it, just buy a 1198 ?

  10. 10k is 4k too much. its a bitsa, same as my 748sp/1198s based thing

  11. I was also wondering this ^^^?

  12. Could it have started life as an ex 848 challenge bike? They'll be plenty of those knocking around now

  13. If I was younger rider an wanted evo 848 but wanted more poke and cheaper insurance I'd bought this. Not only that pulling along side 848 r1 or cbr then smoking them at lights would be good.

Not my bike so can't really comment on why didn't he buy 1198.

  14. Or you could just put 848 fairings on an 1198 :frown:

  15. Reg still would be 1198 with an insurance.

  16. Yeah but when pulling up to lights oppos would see 848 , bonus is your still properly insured , other way is illegal.

  17. No way any copper could tell the difference between 848 engine and 1198 in the frame with fairing on. Not even on mot. ( wet clutch on 848 that can be converted to dry. Ie mate due his track bike. 1198 has only dry clutch.
