  1. Hello everyone,

Will a 200/55 ZR17 tire (Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa IV) fit stock 998 swingarm?

The wheel will be 6 inches width.

    Thank you

  2. Why would you want a 200 tyre? The 190 is better for riding IMHO

  3. This is a display bike, so I would like to know if 200/55 ZR17 tire will fit with a stock swing arm.

  4. interesting! Would be great to see photos. I guess if it's a display bike even if it's a tight fit that would be OK. Or you could also shim it out from the swingarm if necessary

  5. Why not just buy one and see if it works?

  6. Yes, a tight fit would be ok as long as it is not rubbing, however, I rather not shimming it, since it will be not centered anymore (compare to the dual silencers right above it).

I am hoping someone in this forum might have tried mounting the 200/55 tire in the past and this way I don't have to worry about buying a tire that might not fit.

  8. Thank you for the information 224stu, I am now more comfortable in purchasing a 200/55 knowing it's doable.
    Thanks again

  10. Thank you again for the pictures 224stu, I noticed you need to set the wheel in the more forward position (hub eccentric), is this to avoid the tire from rubbing the swing arm?
Because it also make it very close to the exhaust midpipe...
My exhaust pipe is the 60.5mm Motocorse so I worry my exhaust midpipe will be even closer to the tire than yours...

Is there still a room to move the wheel more backward (longer wheel base by adjusting the hub eccentric) without rubbing the swing arm?
Do you think a 200/60 will have more clearance to both the swing arm and the exhaust?
    Thanks

  11. i had to cut the chain guard out on my bike with 6 inch wheel and 190 tyre on it but yes it will fit.

  12. i never adjusted the hub so not sure without getting the bike out how north or south its positioned from TDC, as far as 200/60 goes the tyre will have a bigger rolling radius,, its called aspect ratio 60 is the size of the side wall. its 60% of width were as a 55 would be 55% of width so its the same width but bigger round if yo know what i mean , if there is a 200/50 it would perhaps be more suitable for your collector pipe clearence
