Happy 2021 everyone!!! Trust you've all had as good a festive period as possible, given these crazy times!!?? I wonder if anyone can offer some help with this query??? I've been offered a genuine Ducati tank bag from a 2017 Multistrada 1200. It is minus the fixing ring which I believe mounts to the filler on the tank? Anyway, my question is whether the bag can be fitted to a 2012 1199 Panigale? I.e. is there a Panigale fixing ring which will mate with the MS bag and then can be used on the Pani? Thanks in advance!
The Ducati bag is essentially a Givi ST602. So a Givi Tank lock ring to suit your Panigale is what you need. Unfortunately Givi don't list one but modifying one to fit the hole patten around your filler cap shouldn't be too hard. There might even be one that'll fit for another model. Post up the hole spacing, inner and outer diameter and I'll Check the one on my Mutley as well as the one for my MV I have kicking around. Have you tied offering the bag up to the filler cap to see if it works in terms of clearance with you and the bars etc?
