  1. Anyone know the identity of this delightful chap? Ebay user odn_99?

Think I’ll need to have a word with him when I see him trackside :imp:

Item was £200 on ebay, he offered me £100, I respectfully declined, sold it to a repeat customer a day later for £150 as a best offer.

Haven’t relied to the message, I’ll save my response for him in person

  2. You sold it for more than he offered so what’s his problem?

  3. I wouldn't get wound up. The internet is full of idiots and eBay has more than most.

  4. I think his feelings are hurt as he clearly wanted it but wasn’t happy I wasn’t willing to do him a 50% discount. Think his message is more annoyance that he missed out on it. It’s the internet… people think they can just say whatever they want.

  5. Not wound up, I’m used to dealing with idiots, I’ve been a cop 19 years :joy::joy:

I’ll have a chat with him when we eventually cross paths.

More a bit of a heads up anyone dealing with him in the future

He’s blocked from buying or contacting me on ebay… a blocked buyers list that grows by the day :joy:

  9. This message? Think I’ll have to ask the admins to do that.

  10. I meant from your phone. You might be upset about it and rightly so, but whoever the idiot is, that's all they are. Not worth the upset.

  11. Some real idiots out there. I once had a brand new in the box Termi system for a Diavel that I was selling for £1400, which was a bargain. Chap from Portugal offered me £900, which I politely declined and offered him £100 off as a gesture. He got really abusive when I wouldn’t accept his offer as “he wanted to sell it on and couldn’t make any profit on it at what I was asking”. He genuinely wanted me to sell it him cheap so he could clear MY profit! It got worse, he then actually did buy it for the full price using “buy it now” on eBay. I shipped it to him in Portugal through eBay where he then immediately opened a case saying that it was all damaged and sent a load of photos of what were obviously not my exhaust system but probably his own that he’d damaged in an accident inorder to get a return and send back the damaged system for a full refund. Normally in this instance because it was shipped through eBays global shipping service, ebay covers any damage, however he then at the same time opened a case with PayPal. A Paypal case overrides an ebay case. Realising what he was trying to do I went along with his story and told him that if he cancelled the Paypal case then ebay would give him a full refund as it was shipped through them and they cover any damage, I would keep my money and he would be able to keep the exhaust system and not have to return it. Being the greedy idiot he was, he closed the Paypal case. What he didn’t know (and what I found out from phoning ebay) was that when the Paypal case was opened, ebay closes the eBay case. And once an eBay case is closed it can’t be reopened!! Well you can imagine three abuse I got then!! I had to block him. In all fairness he got what he deserved!!

  14. I wouldn’t worry about it. As Mike Tyson recently remarked - ‘all these keyboard warriors have never had a good slap’

  15. I recently had a similar experience, a guy I was chatting to had messaged me about wanting an R1, said he was keen to discuss a swap ... anyway, 20 messages later he starts going, "well the bikes worth £9k then I have the exhaust, and some accessories so I think it's a £11-12k bike" basically adding the full retail price of everything on the bike to get to that figure.. and telling me its worth at least that...

Then tells me "I don't think I want an R1, they don't really handle and are slow to turn and heavy"...

I mean, at this point I had an option to tell him he literally has NO idea what he's on about, but I decided that people like that just aren't worth it.
