will these fit the 749 D calipers?

  1. anyone?

  2. Try tech section just for more exposure? Apols, technically I know nothing m8!!

  3. Seals for Brembo are difficult to obtain. I've got a feeling they're square section. Not generally available as Brembo don't want people stripping them for safety reasons.

  4. would be good if someone can 100% confirm this, no one ever overhauled their 4 piston calipers before?

  5. probably not with non brembo parts

  6. well the pistons were stuck.. and i have managed to free them by clamping the ones that move and then pressing the lever to free them. it has worked but i dont know... why would pistons get stuck if it wasnt the seals... normally pistons get stuck because the seals have melted or corroded, which makes the pistons get stuck.

  7. Crud. Push the pistons right in. Give the bores a clean carefully without scoring them, there's probably a bit of a tide mark where the pistons been travelling to causing a stop. Lubricate bore with brake fluid and test they move ok. job done.

  8. aaah that was my next question, so it is okay if i lubricate the walls of the pistons with brake fluid, great. il do that tomorrow! =)

  9. KTM sell Brembo spares if that helps

  10. I used Jim Aim (KTM dealer) and look for an 05 superduke on their online parts catalogue.

    Same calipers.

I did the rears too but cant remember what I ordered as I had to guess for those. Think I ordered another front set as the piston size was the same but dont quote me.
