1200 DVT Wind Deflectors

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Vtwin4fun, Mar 27, 2019.

  1. Just looking to see if anyone is making the little wind reflectors that fit at the side of the screen to the fairing. There was someone in Oz doing them for the pre 2015 multi but apparently they don't fit the 2015 onwards.
    Cheers

  2. Try taking your screen off all together and going for a quick ride I did this and then purchased a really small screan and the bike is nicer to ride now

  3. Cheers, I'll give that a go. I do find if I stand up into the air flow the buffering goes away so it would make sense that the same effect could be had by a smaller screen.
I got rid of a ktm 990 adventure as the buffering was unbearable on that. Couldn't ride above 40ish. The multi isn't that bad but could definitely be improved.

  4. I did this on mine, made a huge difference. Couldn't stand the original screen and the buffeting.

  7. As mentioned above.. Take your screen off which is a 2 min job and go for a ride.
The difference is night and day.

  8. I have done he same as everyone above, take the screen off, nice smooth air

I have since bought a small screen which i'll be using this season :D

  9. Looks like I'll be trying that out soon then....I feel an order for the carbon pikes peak screen coming on....;-)

  10. While Pikes peaks is nice if you like Carbon - it is small - there are probably better cheaper options as mentioned above

I cut my standard screen down and painted the inside on my 2015 and kept it on my 2017

Since then lots of other options about.. MRA Sport Screen - seemed about the same size as what I made.

  11. Ah ok, I've spotted the MRA sports screen and I plan on doing some touring so that might be the way to go......thanks for the advice everyone
