I remember these. I took my d.a.s and the very next day bought a 1993 D1 in the limited orange and purple. They are at 233kgs but, once on the move you do not notice it or whilst slow manouvering. The D1's were an improvement on the earlier C series and I definitely had no problem in Italy and back via Germany on the first long ride.
