Have not been out on the bike for weeks now. Fackin hate winter, specially owning a Ducati... What can I do to get my speed thrills?
amphetamines? Sunny this morning. I my well venture out. But I agree with you 100%. Winter sucks. I need a winter hack.
Exactly, get out and blast some trails. You will get a 2 wheel fix and it will really help with fitness too
It's bloody exciting for me! This time next week I will be riding off the dealership forecourt with my new Multistrada 1200S Trouring! Oooooo the amount of tinkering ahead haha.
Storck if youve got a spare £14k or so in your back pocket. My mates got 2 Storck mountain bikes, 2 more frames that he's building up and a £10k Storck racing bike..... He's 3 stone overweight though.
here's two of his bikes, the black one is called a Storck Adrenalin and the white one is a Storck Organic Light (and it's incredibly expensive...like new Ducati expensive)...still, it makes him happy. View attachment 21625
or even a nice walk...im 43 tomorrow so im allowed to make such lame suggestions.... as the Big 'Yin once, 'there's no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothes'.
MTB is a really good call. I got my fix this morning and one in our group is now 66 yrs so it keeps you in good shape (to carry on riding the Ducati). Apart from the fitness it really does bring on your bike control with all those slides you have on clay, chalk, roots etc. Suggest you look at a 29er maybe and ideally full suspension. Carbon frame if you have the budget. Check out the 2012/2013 bikes that will be at the most attractive price. for example: Kona Hei Hei 29er Supreme Suspension Bike 2012 | Chain Reaction Cycles I am a big fan (and owner) of the Santa Cruz Tallboy.
Get an off road bike, just bought this for a bit of winter fun: Yam WR 250 Great fun on a very wet Viking Way
Happy birthday for yesterday, Funky. and yes, get a MTB for playing around on, and maybe a road bike to commute on now and then (assuming your commute is cycleable).
