Winter - its frustrating

  1. I have the blues.....kind of :redface:

    Absolutely egging to get out on the bike. Ive had the odd day of the last three months ( weather has been crap ) but managed to get out twice - even when its raning.

    But it hasnt dried out yet and the summer sunshine has been somewhat illusive. Normally its been not rianing to dry out the roads but so far, no joy.

    One thing coming to work on the tenere hack, but man I miss my doocati

    Am i alone ? :biggrin:

  6. I was wtching a documentary the other day. The coldest day in the northern hemisphere is 19th Jan, 1 Month after the winter solstice, then we start to warm up :upyeah:

  7. If I keep polishing my bike I'll be down to the white plastic ....... haven't even started it for 6 weeks, and don't ask about all the worthless, pointless shite I've bought on ebay just to keep my mind off riding.

    I might just go out at the weekend ....... sod it !!

    It's pretty cold here. Luckily there's only one road in the whole country and that's crap too so no hopes to be dashed ;)

  14. Last year must've been crap, I hardly rode at all, that's why I got shot of the fuglystrada more than anything. Funny thing is I've not missed riding at all so far this winter, but then I've spent more time in the garage tinkering with the Guzzi. Got a perfectly good Blackbird sitting there waiting to be ridden, silly really.

  16. I've only spent one winter out of the last 4 in the UK, the rest have all been spent in Afghanistan. It means I can stretch the hot weather out until mid-november and it all starts again in March :)

  18. last year was excellent down south after May

    in some ways looking forward to the spring and tinkering in the winter months with the occasional jaunt adds to the appeal

    I think it would loose something for me if I could be out and about 365 days a year

  19. Mid January and we have not been hit yet with any serious snow or ice here in Northern England. Have we got away with it or are we about to be hammered!!!
