  1. Righto ... this 3 day weekend I'll be stripping the bike to check the valve clearances and change the belts to the new exactfit belts i got. Only thing i need to get is new coolant but cant find any ducati specific coolant.
Any advice most appreciated on all 3 above :D

  2. coolant is coolant.

  6. Sorry but I disagree, coolant is not just coolant. Ducati recalled 1200 Multistradas and Diavels due to a couple of instances of corrosion caused by a dodgy batch of coolant. Subsequently all Ducatis had the coolant upgraded at the appropriate service point. I would recommend G13 which is a delicate shade of reddy pink. Buy it from Ducati or VAG and you will pay through the nose although the Seat version was cheaper. Andy

  7. Have you got the little tool for measuring the shims & some 1215 for reassembly?

    Good luck pal.

  8. Liquid gasket yep ... tool in the post, i was going to just check clearance this weekend, if anything is out, will order next week, no rush to put it back together as the roads are full of salt round here lol

  9. I had a lot of bother finding the correct coolant for my sport classic, I total nightmare.

  10. Finding where to put it is the hard part :)

  11. I use waterless coolant in all my Ducatis. I swear by it, bit opinions vary wildly.

  12. Its a lot easier to spin the cams when checking clearances when the belts are removed; much easier than turning the engine. Mark the belts & alignment first obviously.
