Just another big thanks to Wilf and his team at MotoRapido for sorting out a warranty issue with my SF Not convinced with Ducati UK's original reply and a subsequent positive reply from Italy followed by another negative one from Ducati UK - Wilf has negotiated a fair compromise Very pleased  And they have a great coffee machine
Wilf is really good, but the last times I have been in there he hasn't been around. I guess busy with racing.
Front disks warped and cushdrive wear Known issues just the 'unlimited' mileage warranty came into question - I've done 13k in 18 months so although brakes were given ok crush rubbers were under question as expected wear All sorted now just got to book it in to be done
What was wrong with the cush drive rubbers, my sprocket is moving slightly on the cush drives (sprocket moving on the metal outside edge of the cush drives) which i thought was odd as on all my previous older dukes they were press fit. A friend of mine then noticed that he could undo the sprocket side nut with his hands once the pin was removed. I took it into riders and they suggested a waranty claim but has been refused. Its a 2012 848 SF with 8200 miles on it.
i ve loved coming over over from Belgium with the Pani to MR twice this year. I may have a third trip planned before years end !
I got all excited, when I saw Wilf, I thought the thread was about Women I'd Like To F*k, not some old boy who fixes motorbikes
Yup mine were like that at 7k I was told within tolerance and ' they all do that ' At 13k lot worse and agreed to do under warranty
Thanks Char, I was told it needs to be changed but not under warranty, they asked me what I wanted to do and said they would "look after me". To be fair the guy at Riders seems a decent bloke, but ill not be paying them to change a sprocket and cush drives whatever happens.
the same wilf? Must be two, the one I know hates customers and is rude as les dawson was to his mother in law... only joking ;-) I find him a top fella ever since I bought my old SPS off him
