1260 Working On Bike - Quite Impressed

  1. I’ve got an ongoing issue I detailed here: Full throttle hesitation

So today I fitted new ignition leads + plugs. First time I’ve worked on a Ducati and I was impressed, lots of nice little touches.

    it’s the little things really:
    • plastic washers under fairing bolts (to stop the paint getting marked)
    • Rubber cable tidies to loom cables together
    • Braiding on ignition leads so you can’t mix them up
I pulled most of the panels and the tank of course and even that was straightforward. Couple of “gotchas” like the grey fuel line connector but once sussed, a doodle and better than other solutions I’ve had on other bikes.

Oh and a huge thanks to those who contributed to this thread: Twin spark plug removal

I went with grinding a couple of flats on a deep socket - made the task really easy and I even managed to get a crow-foot on the torque wrench to properly tighten it once replaced

Checked the air filter while I was in there too - looked clean so left it alone.

Hopefully the effort today will sort my issue. I’ll update the other threat once I’ve taken it for a spin :)
