....having a look at the outside of their carby full fairing where the lowers join at the bottom and tell me if the cross section would be a curve or an angle like the fishplates that join them? Also, is there a gap between the lowers where they join? I haven't got my full fairing fitted at the moment and having studied all my photos, I can't tell. Imagine that I am fitting a plate on the outside to act as a stoneguard and to join the fairing......Well, don't imagine, that's what I'm doing....I am doing. Thanks, AL.
definitely curvy, material section is constant so virtually identical to inside curve - yes I even looked.
Fish plates at an angle ?? Mine are flat strips @ around 25mm wide and hole centres at 30mm. The cross sction would be ( near as ) a flat, in that area as you would imagine with flat plates. I can do a couple of photos if required. ( Car booting this AM. Good Idea (?) by HWMBO !! )
Thanks Chris.....I suspected it was a slight curve, but almost flat.......The kinked fishplates threw me, but I guess the well nuts lift it enough so they don't need a curve.. Thanks to all as well, back to the workshop and some careful bending.... AL.
Problem? ordinarily I'd ignore you, but as you're so easily offended I'd like to do it again, just mind you don't fall out that ivory tower of yours.
