  2. Thats a bummer re the foot!! Just as well the weather is sheeite....as for the bike, do you not suck all the air oot the bag to create a vacum packed Multistroodle???

  3. Chose timing of op to be fully recovered for Spring :D
"vacum packed Multistroodle" ....that would be cool.
My Multistrada 1200 (semi stripped for winter top to toe super clean) stored in the Carcoon bikebubble - dry clean dust free storage for motorcycles via dust and active charcoal air circulation system (currently in 'drying mode' to extract any moisture remaining after washing the bike):

  6. Here are the prices: -

    Carcoon Bikebubble

£222 for the long clear - not a bad price IMO

  7. Yeah, great bit of kit for the price :upyeah: ....any enquiries, speak to George and mention me/my website ;-)

Cats....lol...the little buggers live the life of Riley!

  8. Looks like something out of Alien - shame you cant pop yourself in there as well until spring or I might buy one

  9. Hi Andy,

That's some piece of kit all right (the Carcoon not the crutches!) and I think it might just be on the Christmas list....

Sorry to hear you've had to have more surgery but at least it's on your terms timing wise. This healing lark does stretch itself out a bit - I've just been told a bone graft is probably going to be in order next year to resolve an ongoing issue - hey ho. Life's full of it..............surprises that is.

Anyway, hope you're back on your feet soon as and ready to enjoy the Mutley when the weather turns for the better.

    All the best, Mark.

  10. Your cats are doing synchronized cat napping.

  11. Take it easy Andy, rest up and I will see you in the spring (that will be June in this country )

I've put the Multi and the Xt660r to bed for winter now.... going to work on the train which is truly unpleasant !

Happy Christmas to all the Multistrada crew

  12. Sorry to see the state of your foot Andy - best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Cocoon looks good. A friend of mine had one for his £50K Austin Healey which was kept in a normal cold, brick-built garage - yours looks a bit more luxurious than that. Do you really think the Multi will suffer without being cocooned?

  13. going to work by any means, now that is unpleasant!

  14. ...only one more day and then I'm off until January 14th.....lovely.....

  15. is that bubble like a snow globe?

  16. Good god Andy ! , Im very impressed with your winter storage in a weird and respective sort of way , Is this what a Multi owner has to do too keep the thing from malfunctioning ! ? No chance of you popping off down the shops for a pack of fags on your bike this winter then , Hope your injury behaves as best as it possibly can though

  17. Andy, what areyou doing man !

come on get a grip, it should be the bike in the lounge and the cats in the garage :cool:

Get well soon mate, and see you when it comes out of hibernation :upyeah:

  18. Thanks everyone

JW - Lol.......when my lottery win comes up the next house will include luxury bike accommodation :D
i must get round to replying to your email.....combo of backlog and still being a little 'under the weather' ;-)

Ours is a normal cold brick built garage just looks a bit better with painted walls/floor and some heavy duty lino type floor covering.....i.e. pretty damp still. I'm sure the Mutley would be fine with application of ACF50 to any bits that might suffer but the Bikebubble was a good deal and I know the bike'll come out exactly as it went in.

How are you doing?........bone graft, a double whammy as you have a wound site where the grafts taken and where it's applied :-(
...fingers crossed you won't need it......Calcium/vitamin D combo supplements over winter ;-)

  19. Hi Andy,

Things are grand and I'm throwing the supplements down my neck like there's no tomorrow! :upyeah: Regardless of what does or doesn't need done it won't stop me riding so it's no big shakes.

    Have a cracking Christmas fella.

    Mark

  20. Ugh, sounds nasty. At least you know the bike is properly stored. Get well soon.
