Is WSB “back”? in it’s true form I think it is barring a few extra moto gp rejects which will come in time. Looking forward to this more than mugello I think Practise starts on Eurosport tmrw if you’re rich enough to pay 4.99 a month
It definitely back. It arrived last year and is sticking around. For a three horse race it’s about as good as it gets.
It feels like it doesnt it just missing the mega crowds. Interesting (depending how bored you are) snippet i just came across on the wiki dot com
The key there though, is that there is 8 years between those times being set... tyre technology moves on a lot in 8 years. Not arguing that the WSBK is still impressive but just saying I think on a qualy lap on the same day, same track conditions a GP bike would be quicker.
That reads slightly contradictory to me because you’d have thought the MotoGP lap would have improved with the tyres in 10 years. IMO, the WSBK performance has improved immensely whereas the MotoGP bikes have followed a development line for economy and reliability over outright performance. Andy
