  3. Crikey! The V4R ain't lacking speed is it?

    There's gonna be uproar. There always is when Ducati's go faster than everything else :laughing: Wonder what they'll moan about now though? Everyone's got 4 cylinder <1000cc machines....
     
  4. Thailand will suit the Ducati, the next round at Aragon probably not so much. If Alvaro nukes them at Aragon, Dorna are likely to impose a reduction in the current rev limit which 16,500rpm. Ironic that Kawasaki have put Pankl internals in their 2019 homologation special so they can increase their rpm after the Dorna success penalty last season, did absolutely nothing to stop Rea.   5. Wow! Heart rate was going like mad after that incident at turn 3, I’m shite and watching and dealing with stuff like that lol!

    Alvaro said that he had issues with his braking which was noticeable in comparison to his qualifying laps.
     
  6. Yeah but Rea is on an €18k bike from a showroom, he said so in Qatar... he sounded a bit out of breath after Race 1.

    Fortunately I've learned I quite like the Spanish national anthem, jaunty.

  9. A few good points Jamie Whitham is making during race 2(3) of the weekend.

    A lot of chat about the rpm limit being reduced after round 3 but he believes the limit won’t be reduced because it’s only Bautista who is doing well, the fact the other Ducati bikes are not dominating means it’s not clearly a bike advantage but more of a bike/rider combination.

    Take Bautista out of the equation and the headlines would all be about how much the V4 is struggling.

  12. The commentators did make some very good points about Bautista. It's not just the power of the V4 but the skill of Bautista which is making it so hard to beat.
    It's going to be interesting to see how the next few races....
     
  13. I wonder how much is because the bike is more GP focussed, extremely stiff for example, and he is used to it.

    Shakey made an interesting comment on homologation: 1500 Ducati’s, r1m out the showroom but Kawasaki is very limited run and not available in the showroom

  14. Sailing as close to the wind that is the regulations as they possibly can. I heard that Dorna turn up unannounced and just want to see the correct number of bikes lined up in a workshop or warehouse. Nothing more than that. Andy

  15. With Melandri performing so well on the Yamaha and Chas Davies performing like a nob on the V4 I wonder how long it will be before Ducati start realize they retained the wrong rider
     
  16. I don't think Melandri would fair any better. IMO, the Panigsle 1299 (1198cc) is a lot closer to the BMW S1000RR to ride than it is to the V4. Scott Redding is doing lot better in testing on the BSB spec V4RS than either Brookes or Bridewell so I think it's the MotoGP experience that is telling. Andy

  20. Time will tell a season of proper road racing would show the metal of Chaz Davie's and Scott Redding you can't hide on the mountain course real talent comes through
