WTB 56mm lower yoke for ohlins

  1. Hey. Looking for a 56mm lower yoke for a 748/9*6 but I understand that a yoke from a *99 and 1*98 will fit just as well. Can anyone help?

Hi Matt, I've been trying to source the same for an 1198 and it would appear that a 999 fits but a 1098/848 does not so best check first with a ducati dealer to see what applications actually are interchangeable. I do have a spare now but believe it to be from a 1098 so the steering tube is slightly different to the one I need. If this is the one for you then you can have it from me.

  3. The bottom yoke will fit however you may have to swap the steerer tube over, and that is not a fun job...

  8. How do you get the bottom bearing guide off the tube without removing the whole tube?

  12. There's no point of removing it if not replacing. It can be masked off for coating or painting.

  15. from what size to what size….seems stupid machining something thinner when there is a std part available….or even a modified std part available say 25/27/30mm offset triples...

  20. Ok - found a man with a big fuck off bastard file that will open up a set of 53 to 56mm for me.
    Anyone got a set of 1098s ohlin forks they want to sell me cheap? :biggrin:
