Does anyone have one of these? I'd like to try one out and see what it's like before I commit to buy one (just missed one on Ebay - curses). I was thinking of getting one for the EMM trip. If anyone is in the South East and/or is willing to lend me one to let me try it out then it would be most appreciated (and worth at least a bacon sandwich!) I normally ride with a Pikes Peak screen, but the longer distances might be more of a strain. I do have a standard screen and one of the touring screens so if I can't try one I might go back to experimenting with them.
Great bit of kit. Have had mine for probably 6 months and it has totally changed the airflow off the screen. Although removable it stays in place and i think looks fine. One of the better bits of kit I have bought. It worKs.
+1 very nicely made works a treat for me and does not look crap. I'm 6ft 1in and found the standard screen just a little too short result noise and turbulence. Fitting the wind deflector reduced this by about 80%.
was a chap at boxhill with one on his bike, he'd had it on this 2013 model and previous, he had cut out a small part in the centre of the screen, so that it sat slightly lower down the scree, and swore by I, they're about £100 new,
For not a huge amount more there is the MRA Vario or taller X-screens. I wonder if these are more effective than the Wunderlich. Has anyone tried both to give a comparison?
Probably depends on how far off the original screen is. For me the original was not bad ( 2013 bike ) so the deflector was just enough. I'm sure for others you would need more, so the MRA Vario would work better.
Sorry Andy I can't at the moment, testing a Givi short screen on the bike. However if nobody else can supply a photo, can swap the screens.
Hi Pete...the Wunderlich 'wing' won't attach to the Givi screen? I use a cut down DIY shorty which does me fine 90% of the time but am wondering if the Wunderlich product might be a good addition for the other 10% long distance runs? .....i.e. I like the idea of something that is quick and easy to fit to my existing screen and then remove again.
I see what you want, the Givi screen is very short similar to PP screen. Not sure it would work. But could have a look tomorrow.
You beat me to it, just edited my last post, misread yours. The Givi I have looks a little smaller than yours. However Ill put the deflector on mine tomorrow and post a pic and see what you think.
Thanks Pete....and assuming it fits ok maybe a test ride and comment on difference between with and without. Cheers
Yup agree maybe the tinted Puig short screen because its wider too. Looks good on the standard screen. I do not think it will do anything, but who knows I'll whizz up the bypass tomorrow and see how it feels. Hope no one see me
Been for a blast up the bypass and the spoiler does the square root of zero. The Givi screen is just too small, too much wind blast to have any effect. Works on the original screen and works very well on my fjr1300, but then its just altering a small amount of the air coming off the larger screen to improve noise.
