It's just manufactured crap. It's a fix, going back to the early days of Pop Idol. Will Young was personally invited to take part by Simon Cowell - they knew each other. His audition was faked, it was done at a different time to the main auditions. Everything is engineered so that the contestants the producers want to be in the competition are there at each stage. During the public voting rounds if they want a contestant to do badly they change their song the day before, don't give them rehearsal time and choose an inappropriate song. It's all just to make Simon Cowell lots of money. He was a joke in the music business before he latched onto Robson & Jersome. He knows nothing about music, just how to exploit people. The contract you sign to appear on the show is criminal. You sign away your rights to every photo and recording ever taken of you for as long as they want. You have to do what they want when they want, wear what they tell you to, perform what the tell you to, how they tell you to do it. There is no get out clause. They own you and everything about you for as long as they want to. (Rant over)

It's sunk even lower with the over 25s that were chosen. The only ones that could sing were sent home. It's become a freak show of epic proportions. I'm not bothering to watch anymore.
