Got my Yamaha R1 up for sale, original 98 white/red bike https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/274366727763 let me know if anyone’s genuinely interested
No mate, I put it up for sale with all the goodies like the full Öhlins, Akra and white wheels etc but everyone said it was too expensive. To be honest I’ve n0t really tried selling it hard. Put it back to standard and stuck it on eBay
They go as high as 10K for low mileage OEM ones like this. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1998-Yam...506413?hash=item4da816292d:g:hk0AAOSwGoZc5SRQ
98 in white and red in completely standard original condition will make very good money. N0t many bikes around as original as mines now. Even got the original Yamaha screen on it which I almost unheard of now and can’t get them. Lots of the parts can’t be found for them now.
Going to have to expect some comments like that, along with some comments on my ZXR750 that’s for sale. To most people that don’t know what they are they just see a 20 odd year old bike. It’s probably the wrong platform to advertise here but it’s free so why not. You’re average joe public isn’t going to buy these, it’ll be an enthusiast that’ll know what they are that’s going to be genuinely interested
MVery nice example. If I hadn’t just bought my 998 I’d defo be considering this one. Always had a soft spot for this model ever since my mate lent me his back in 98
Thats a fair price that, if I had the storage space I'd buy that, always had a soft spot for these, is one of the few 'wish I had got one' bikes on my list ... I'm sure it will be gone soon, GLWS
Well for a balanced view I can confirm that £5000 is a lot for a bike of that year it’s not for an early R1 of that colour . That’s a cracking bike at a sensible price , and no I’m not connected to the seller at all.
