I think they will bring in the v4 with the 850 generation. The running of a v4 now against the current is probably just due to the abundance of data they already hold on the in line 4
They already know a fair bit about things like the airbox flow, the primary and secondary balance of the engine from running the current IL4 in cross plane configuration, infact that’s what it’s designed to replicate more closely. I think the bigger thing for them will be the packaging and frame, they have this concept of using a sheet like thing chassis around the sides of the cylinder head, very different in V4 land, so will be interested to see how they do that
