Fits 900ss and possibly 748 etc Limited availability but I’ve managed to get one locally. Don’t use your trade card it will go to full price minus the card discount. If it doesn’t recognise your bike reg number just put your car reg in it worked for me but you can’t order without a reg number.
Its illegal for them (or anyone else) to sell batteries without the acid inside following the scrotes acid attacks a year or two back AFAIK. I bought one and will leave it on a battery tender. Not ideal, but for £10...
That's annoying; I was hoping mine would be supplied dry. It's infuriating how the barbaric behaviour of some people results in all of us having liberty taken away. The law changes are stupid too; it's not as if some savage could not buy a battery and drain it, or simply purchase dangerously corrosive acid or caustic material quite legally - for cleaning drains, descaling toilets, etc.

I guess they have the required permissions to sell it to me that way. So far all my motorcycle batteries that were purchased online and were of the standard lead acid type came dry including the last one which was 2 weeks ago.
Bought two, - one read 11.76 and the other 0 volts.. Both on chargers now and 0 volts battery is picking up ok but as said, life possibly reduced. Having said this, you can come across a battery from time to time that just will not die no matter how you mistreat it. I can remember buying an Aprilia 2-stroke that had been left outside for a year or more. The battery was totally dead but i charged it, (a Yuasa) and it picked up, and it started the bike for over 6 months until I sold it.
I don't know if the Halfords battery clearance is still ongoing, but it's almost worth starting another thread to warn off buyers. I've checked mine this morning and both are reading just over 10 volts. I might try a second charge but probably pointless.
They don't really come back. You can try leaving them for a long time on a desulfator if you have one, like a week. That might revive them.
Mine read 11.9V when I got it, and charged up ok. Maybe there's an element of luck involved, £10 worth the risk for me.
sometimes it's just plain old luck of the draw, as said. I used to save loads of chucked out car batteries over the years but the quality isn't there now.
The chances of getting a fresh battery in a clear out sale are slim. Saying that, they can't sell items that aren't fit for purpose so I'd take them back.
Got back home tonight to find mine is now showing all yellow lights plus the green after 48 hours of charge. You'll note it was in the box ready to go back, but now I think I will leave it on charge for another night, unplug it in the morning and see what the charge is for the next few days. Maybe this will work out afterall
what was your "actuation date" on that one Jez? (mine still both dropping back to approx 10 volts after charging).
Mine are both 04 / 2019 with following readings recorded at 7.8 & 8.5 yesterday when i collected them, but one is now on charge and if no good it'll go through @Expat Jack front window.
I think he keeps the Trumpets beside the window so no problem, the Ducati's are either side of the TV.
Mine was at 11.25 and is charging merrily away. I think it will be fine but then, the sun always shines on the righteous
