Yellow Ducati 916s

  1. Hello Forum members, Many years ago I believe I read somewhere on the internet that someone from the management of Ducati sent apology letters to buyers of YELLOW Ducati 916s... has anyone heard of this? Is it fact or fiction?

  4. Fiction. Andy

  5. Fiction, although it is true that the GSE Hodgson replica bikes came about as they had a bunch of unsold 996's in Yellow and this was a way to get rid, they are all yellow underneath ...

  8. Ducati were producing yellow Ducati's well before the 916.

Also, the default colour of the 748 was yellow and the bike looked identical. Unless it was an April Fool on behalf of Ducati, it sounds like an urban myth.

  9. Ducati don't ever send apologies about the paint they use. If they did, we would all have recieved one about the shite they use on the engines.
