Zip replacement

  1. Does anyone on here know where I can get a new zip put in a Daytona Road Star GTX boot ? Too bloody expensive to just throw away. Thanks, Andy

  2. Cobblers!!

  3. Took my Alpinstars SMX to a cobbler with a similar problem, but they didn't want to know. I ended up buying a new pair. Can't complain, the others were at least 10 years old and had been brilliant. I'm not sure your average cobbler can deal with it. Return to Daytona perhaps?

  4. I think Daytona have a repair service, try supplier.

  5. Yes but it will be a 500 mile round trip for you.

  6. You may want to try Cobra Leathers in Swindon, ask for Annie. She repairs most types of leather goods from bike leathers to car upholstery, saddlery to PVC gear! She also alters bike leathers to improve their fit and can repair them if they get accident damaged. Pretty reasonable prices and really good quality work. I have used them for leathers and most recently a new zip on my two piece jacket (which cost £35).

  7. On a Multi 1200s - no problem . Andy

  8. Bollocks - oh, sorry you meant someone who makes and repairs shoes . Andy

  9. Thanks all, Daytona do offer a repair service through their UK importer in Milton, Hampshire and I have also been pointed at a guy in Ash near Aldershot by Infinity at Farnborough where I bought the boots originally. Andy
