Just bought some HG stuff - goretex jacket and trousers However when I have zipped them together I have found that the jacket zip is about 6 inches longer than the trousers - they zip together but the zip cant go all the way because the trouser one is a bit shorter Both are zips all the way around? Is this ok / normal? Bit worried might strain the zip due to it not being all the way to the end?
Aren't they lopsided? I paired a HG Jacket to some A* trousers and had a conveter zip made up by Dave the Leather Man in Wibsey, Bradford to get round this problem. Maybe he can help (used to do work for HG as well) The Leather Man (Leather Clothing Repairs), Bradford | LEATHERGOODS - Yell
My Frank Thomas two piece is the same They just zip together across my back though the trouser zip goes from my back to the right hand front :-/
They are bit lopsided tbh Its weird though given they are brand new and designed to fit together you would think Will give them a bell
Are they different (EU) sizes? My HG leathers are 52 and 54, and I have the same issue. Not a big deal, just a bit odd.
Yes - thats what they said in shop as well Just was worried might knack the zip but they reckon will be ok
This is what Dave made up for me I had the problem that the A* trousers was a shorter zip than the HG jacket and both zips had pullers on. Dave made up an adaptor that allowed the jacket and trousers to marry up perfectly.
I had the same mismatch on an HG jacket and trousers of slightly different sizes/styles. I guess its bound to happen if you mix sizes. I made up my own adaptor zip thingy like the one in Chris's pic. A bit OTT perhaps, but it works a treat.
